Welcome to The Situation Room (“The Situation Room”, “TSR”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of The Situation Room, including our website at thesituationroom.global, our members’ services, The Situation Room platform, S.I.A. – Strategic Intelligence Assistant, maps, dashboards, live feeds, news and intelligence content, alerts, data visualisations and any other services or features made available by us (collectively, the “Service”).
By accessing, registering for, subscribing to or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
2. About The Situation Room
The Situation Room is an independent digital intelligence, information and situational-awareness platform designed to provide users with access to global news, publicly available information, geopolitical developments, mapping, live feeds, analysis, intelligence-style tools and related content.
The Situation Room is not a government agency, military organisation, intelligence service, law-enforcement body or emergency service.
The Situation Room is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or officially connected to any government, military organisation, intelligence agency or international organisation unless expressly stated.
Any terminology, presentation, mapping, classifications or intelligence-style features used within the platform are provided for informational and analytical purposes only.
3. Informational Purposes Only
Information made available through The Situation Room is provided for general information, research, education and situational awareness purposes only.
Content may include information obtained or derived from:
publicly available information;
news organisations;
public video streams;
CCTV and webcam feeds;
government or institutional sources;
social media;
open-source intelligence (“OSINT”);
third-party APIs and data services;
mapping and geospatial services;
automated systems;
artificial intelligence;
publicly accessible databases; and
other third-party sources.
We endeavour to provide useful and timely information, but we do not warrant or guarantee that information available through the Service is complete, accurate, current, verified or error-free.

5. Emergencies
The Situation Room is not an emergency service.
If you believe that you or another person is in immediate danger or an emergency is occurring, contact the appropriate police, ambulance, fire, coastguard or other emergency service within the relevant country.
Do not rely upon The Situation Room, its maps, alerts, feeds, S.I.A. or other platform features as a replacement for official emergency communications.
6. Registration and User Accounts
Certain parts of The Situation Room require registration and an active subscription or membership.
When creating an account, you agree to:
provide accurate and current information;
maintain the security of your account;
keep your login credentials confidential;
not share your account with unauthorised persons;
notify us if you believe your account has been compromised; and
accept responsibility for activity occurring through your account.
Accounts are intended for the registered user unless a particular subscription expressly permits multiple users.
We may suspend or terminate accounts where we reasonably believe credentials are being shared, misused or used to circumvent membership restrictions.
7. Membership and Subscriptions
Certain features of The Situation Room are available only to users with an active paid membership or other qualifying access.
Subscription prices, billing periods and included features will be displayed when you register or purchase a subscription.
Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions may automatically renew according to the billing frequency selected during registration.
You are responsible for ensuring that your payment information remains valid and up to date.
Failure to make a required payment may result in restricted, suspended or terminated access to the Service.
We reserve the right to change subscription prices, membership structures or included features. Where required, reasonable notice will be provided before changes affecting an existing subscription take effect.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription in accordance with the cancellation options provided through your account or membership area.
Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not necessarily provide an automatic refund for amounts already paid, except where required by applicable consumer law or expressly stated in our refund policy.
Following cancellation, access may continue until the end of the current paid subscription period.
Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. S.I.A. – Strategic Intelligence Assistant
The Situation Room may provide access to S.I.A. – Strategic Intelligence Assistant, an artificial intelligence-powered feature designed to assist users with intelligence-related research, information retrieval, analysis and interpretation within the scope of The Situation Room.
S.I.A. uses automated and artificial intelligence technologies.
Artificial intelligence can make mistakes.
Responses generated by S.I.A. may:
contain factual inaccuracies;
misunderstand a request;
misinterpret available information;
contain outdated information;
omit relevant information;
incorrectly identify relationships between events;
generate conclusions that are not supported by available evidence; or
present uncertain information with greater confidence than warranted.
S.I.A. output must therefore not be treated as verified intelligence, official intelligence reporting or professional advice.
Users should independently verify information obtained through S.I.A., particularly before making decisions based upon that information.
The Situation Room does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability or completeness of AI-generated responses.
10. Maps, Locations and Intelligence Markers
The Situation Room may display incidents, locations, events, aircraft, vessels, infrastructure, military activity, natural disasters, security incidents or other information on interactive maps.
Locations displayed on the platform may be approximate.
Markers, coordinates, classifications and event locations may be generated from publicly available information, third-party sources, automated systems or artificial intelligence.
The presence of a marker on the map does not constitute confirmation that an event occurred precisely at that location.
Users must not rely upon map information for navigation, emergency response, military activity or personal safety decisions.
11. Live Feeds, CCTV and Third-Party Video
The Situation Room may display or provide access to publicly available live streams, webcams, CCTV feeds, news broadcasts or other video content operated by third parties.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, The Situation Room does not own, operate or control these feeds.
Availability may change without notice.
A feed may:
become unavailable;
be delayed;
display outdated footage;
contain inaccurate timestamps;
be interrupted;
be replaced by the source provider; or
contain material outside our control.
We do not guarantee the continuous availability, accuracy or suitability of third-party feeds.
Ownership and intellectual property rights in third-party footage remain with their respective owners.
12. News and Third-Party Information
The Situation Room may aggregate, reference, summarise, display or link to information from third-party news organisations and other external sources.
Views expressed by third-party publishers do not necessarily represent the views of The Situation Room.
We are not responsible for the accuracy, editorial standards, availability or content of third-party websites, publishers or services.
Links to third-party resources are provided for convenience and informational purposes and do not constitute endorsement.
13. Developing Events
Users acknowledge that information relating to wars, armed conflicts, terrorism, political unrest, natural disasters, security incidents and other rapidly developing situations may be incomplete or inaccurate when initially reported.
Different sources may provide conflicting accounts of the same event.
The inclusion of information within The Situation Room does not mean that we have independently verified or endorsed that information.
Where practicable, users should compare information from multiple reliable sources.
14. Acceptable Use
You agree to use The Situation Room lawfully and responsibly.
You must not use the Service to:
commit or facilitate any unlawful activity;
threaten, harass or harm another person;
plan or facilitate terrorism or violent activity;
facilitate criminal activity;
unlawfully track, stalk or monitor individuals;
obtain unauthorised access to systems or accounts;
interfere with the operation or security of the Service;
introduce malware or malicious code;
attempt to bypass security or access controls;
scrape or systematically extract data without permission;
reverse engineer protected elements of the platform;
reproduce substantial parts of the Service without authorisation;
impersonate another person;
share subscription credentials contrary to your membership;
use automated systems to overload or disrupt the Service; or
use information obtained through the platform in violation of applicable law.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access where these provisions are breached.
15. Open-Source Intelligence
Some information presented through The Situation Room may constitute or be derived from open-source intelligence (“OSINT”).
OSINT is based upon publicly available information and should not automatically be interpreted as verified intelligence.
The inclusion, analysis or aggregation of publicly available information does not constitute confirmation of its authenticity.
Users remain responsible for evaluating the reliability, provenance and context of information.
16. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, The Situation Room platform, including its branding, design, interface, software, databases, original graphics, written analysis, proprietary functionality, logos and original content, is owned by or licensed to The Situation Room and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Your subscription provides a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access and use the Service.
You may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, licence, commercially exploit or create derivative services substantially based upon proprietary elements of The Situation Room without prior written permission.
Third-party content remains the property of its respective copyright or intellectual property owner.
17. Screenshots and Sharing
Reasonable sharing of screenshots or extracts from The Situation Room for personal discussion, commentary or social media may be permitted, provided that:
The Situation Room branding is not deliberately removed;
information is not presented misleadingly;
the material is not commercially resold;
third-party copyright is respected; and
sharing does not expose restricted account information or circumvent paid access.
We reserve the right to restrict systematic reproduction or redistribution of platform content.
18. Service Availability
We aim to maintain a reliable Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of:
maintenance;
software updates;
infrastructure failures;
internet outages;
third-party provider failures;
API limitations;
cyber incidents;
unusually high traffic;
technical faults; or
circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Features may be added, changed, suspended or removed as the platform develops.

You acknowledge that intelligence analysis frequently involves uncertainty, incomplete information and competing interpretations.
You should exercise appropriate judgement and independently verify information where its accuracy is important.
22. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Subject to applicable law, The Situation Room and its owners, operators, employees, contractors and service providers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special losses arising from your use of, inability to use or reliance upon the Service.
This includes, without limitation, losses arising from reliance upon:
news reports;
maps;
alerts;
AI-generated information;
intelligence analysis;
third-party data;
live feeds;
event locations; or
other information displayed through the Service.
You should independently verify information before taking action based upon it.
23. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the security of the Service.
However, no internet-based platform can guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and devices.
You must immediately notify us if you become aware of suspected unauthorised access to your account.
24. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict or terminate access to the Service where reasonably necessary, including where:
these Terms have been breached;
payment is overdue;
an account is being shared improperly;
fraudulent activity is suspected;
the Service is being abused;
security is threatened;
unlawful activity is suspected; or
suspension is necessary to protect The Situation Room, its users or third parties.
Serious violations may result in immediate termination.
25. Changes to the Service
The Situation Room is an evolving platform.
We may introduce, modify, replace or discontinue features from time to time.
This may include changes to maps, feeds, intelligence tools, AI functionality, dashboards, content sources and membership features.
We are not obliged to maintain any particular feature indefinitely.
26. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes to the Service, applicable law, technology or our business operations.
The latest version will be published on our website together with the date it was last updated.
Where a material change significantly affects your rights, we may provide additional notice where appropriate or legally required.
Continued use of the Service following the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of those Terms, subject to applicable law.

We shall not be responsible for delays, interruptions or failures resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, internet disruption, telecommunications failures, cyberattacks, government actions, power failures or failures of third-party infrastructure.
32. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
The affected provision shall be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable where legally possible.

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you based upon your location.
Where legally permitted, the courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of The Situation Room.
